Speaking

I bridge ideas and audiences.

Sunlit chairs arranged for a talk in front of large windows overlooking trees, symbolizing conversation and exchange.

where crossings become conversations

I speak on U.S.–Latin American relations, mobility justice, and the politics of care—how history, policy, and culture intertwine to shape everyday life across the hemisphere. My talks invite audiences to see how the Americas are connected through infrastructure, imagination, and desire, and how those connections still matter today.

My talks explore how ideas move through policy, culture, and daily life across the Americas.

Selected talk

Adoption, Desire, and the Politics of Care

Adoption isn’t only a private story of family—it’s a window into how nations imagine themselves and each other. In this talk, I explore the international politics of adoption through the lens of empire, mobility, and care, showing how love and rescue often reproduce global inequalities. Drawing from histories of Latin America and the United States, I connect personal narratives to the larger systems that move people, power, and belonging across borders.

The missing piece is dialogue.

I believe the best conversations begin with curiosity. If you’d like to host a talk, invite me to a panel, or start a collaboration, I’d love to hear from you.

Let’s start a conversation.

My work centers on dialogue across borders—between disciplines, institutions, and communities.
